Anthony Armstrong’s story from a Texas student athlete and on to NFL player is one like none other. His story is a true testimony that “Hard Work Pays Off”
A graduate of Newman Smith High School, in Carrollton, TX, Anthony attended West Texas A&M. He saw action on the football field as a true freshman over other highly recruited athletes. An injury his senior year was a speed bump along the way towards his final destination. After three seasons, (one in Intense Football League, two in Arena Football League) Anthony finally broke into the NFL in 2008 as a 25 year old. His first regular season action was in 2010 as a 26 year old ‘rookie’.
Anthony started 12 games that season, amassing 871 yards on 44 receptions, and finished third in the league behind DeSean Jackson and Mike Wallace for yards per reception.
