The Dallas Mavericks pulled out the victory against the New Orleans Pelicans behind a 51.7% field goal shooting percentage, compared to N.O’s 42.7%. Their first road win of the season came despite being out-rebounded 47 to 44.
Free agent acquisition, Chandler Parsons led the Mavs’ scorers with 20 points followed by Dirk and Monta registering 17 points a piece. A total of six Mavericks finished in double digits.
Anthony Davis continues to shine with 31 points and 15 rebounds in 42+ minutes of action. Jrue Holiday accounted for 24 points, while Tyreke Evans flirted with a triple-double finishing with 22 points, 10 boards, and 9 dimes.
The Mavs’ depth was on display and helped elevate this team to the win versus and young and talented Pelicans squad.
Dallas takes on the Rajon Rondo led Celtics Monday night while the Pels take a trip to Memphis to face the Grizzlies.
